Darwin K. Roche is committed to empowering young people through his work at Friends of the Children Detroit. With more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement, ministry, youth development, and community engagement, he has helped shape both community and institutional cultures to better serve children and teens.
Darwin holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in psychology and a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis on social justice. He has served as a mentor through his beloved fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, and was an active leader in the Dads of Great Students (WATCH D.O.G.S.) Program, where he supports the academic and emotional growth of students through positive male engagement.
Passionate about relationships and addressing economic poverty, Darwin is devoted to creating environments rooted in love, support, psychological safety, and emotional intelligence. Guiding and uplifting young people is not just his work, it’s his life’s purpose.
