Sarah Wixson is an Equity Partner at Varnum LLP in Ann Arbor, where she co-chairs the firm’s Healthcare Practice Team and Women’s Forum. Her practice focuses on advising health care providers, real estate entities, and commercial businesses on regulatory compliance, contracting, licensing, and complex litigation. She has extensive experience working with physician groups, hospitals, and health care organizations on Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance.

In addition to her legal practice, Sarah plays an active role in mentoring and advancing attorneys, serving on Varnum’s Associate Recruiting and Retention Committees and as one of the firm’s Associate Retention Training Partners.

She is deeply engaged in the community through board service with Fair Food Network, Growing Hope, and the St. Francis of Assisi School Principal Advisory Board, and she is a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class 43.

Sarah earned her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where she served as Senior Note and Comment Editor of The Wayne Law Review. She holds a B.A. in Spanish and English, cum laude, from Hope College, and studied abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, reading, and enjoying the shores of Lake Michigan.
