Recently Friends of the Children- Detroit proudly partnered with AT&T on its School Success project. The project addressed the homework gap through consistent 1:1 contact with youth, in their homes, schools, and community. With the thoughtful support of AT&T, our mentors:

• Provided each child with individualized support, both in and outside the classroom.
• Partnered with caregivers, teachers and other school staff to leverage the youth's strengths and interests and collaborate on positive classroom behaviors.
• Served as coaches, motivators and advocates, and provided access to professional tutoring and academic coaching for youth who face the greatest academic challenges.
• Provided enriching experiences based on each youth’s interests, needs and goals, such as visiting a science museum or attending a cultural event.

Thank you AT&T for helping Friends of the Children- Detroit use its whole-child approach to create positive, long-term outcomes for youth. Your gift enhanced our ability to bridge the gaps our children face, empowering them to move beyond obstacles and towards long-term academic success.
