Michael Lipscomb is dedicated to empowering young people at Friends of the Children–Detroit. With over 20 years of experience in education and youth development, he has shaped community and institutional cultures to better serve children and teens. A Certified De-escalation Specialist through Life Space Crisis Intervention, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a focus on psychology. Passionate about restorative practices, Michael believes in fostering love and support for young people, making it his life’s calling.
